Ministries
Ministries in the Christian tradition are those activities that have as their intention and effect the bringing of good to others. Ministries spring forth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, from our baptismal life and its nurture in worship as we hear the Word and receive the Word in the sacrament of Holy Communion. Prayer is a primary example of ministry for others – so is our current Bicycle Repair Ministry. Ministries cannot occur unless and until the people of God embrace them, commit themselves to the vision of Christ active in the world, and share of their time, abilities, and financial support to sustain such ministries. Identified on this page are brief descriptions of our ministries, those specific activities that have as their intention and effect bringing good to others.
