Are You New Here?
Whether you're new to the Glen Rock area or just new to our church, we know you'll feel welcome once you step through the door and feel the warm greeting we offer. We are a small but varied group, ranging in age from toddlers to octogenarians. Our talents, life experiences, interests, and personalities are as various as our ages, and that is our strength as a congregation. We very much want to know you and to share our worship and fellowship with you. In anticipation of your questions, we've provided a few answers below...
Where are you located?
Zion Lutheran Church is located at 47 Hanover Streets in Glen Rock. Parking is available in our adjacent parking lot.
What is your worship service like?
Here at Zion, we gather for a single worship service each Sunday morning at 9:00am. Our worship service reflects a traditional Lutheran liturgy taken from various resources, and we take advantage of our worship service to share news as well. Children are welcomed to our service and receive a brief Children's Sermon from Pastor as a part of the service. Typically, before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, our service incorporated Holy Communion every week and offered abundant opportunities for participation by the congregation in choir, lectoring, assistant ministering, etc. Currently, we are observing limitations in participation as we follow the guidelines set out by our state officials and Synod.
We have always been all about Fellowship So -- pre-COVID-19 -- we enjoyed a "Social Time" directly following worship, in the adjacent fellowship hall where we shared beverages, snacks, and conversation. Of course, this activity has been suspended until the pandemic is behind us. We are all optimistic and look forward to resuming all of our worship, service and fellowship activities as soon as it is possible.

What should I wear?
Whatever you feel comfortable in! You’ll see people dressed in suits and in casual clothes. We’re much more interested in meeting you than in what you wear.
Where do I take my kids?
Families including children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to worship together in the sanctuary.
There are also two rockers available in the back of the sanctuary for those families who wish to remain in worship and calm their little ones.
The worship service usually involves a children’s sermon.
Do you have handicap access?
We have ramp access to the sanctuary and upstairs fellowship hall. A handicap accessible bathroom is on the same level.
